Dinara Klinton and Timothée Botbol have been working together for several years now and are a wonderfully dynamic duo.   Premièred by Rostrapovich and Richter in 1950 after consideration by the Soviet officials, Prokofiev's work is joyful and lyrical by turns and belies the composer's rather precarious position in Russian music at that point.  Bloch's 1924 work is a set of three short pieces which reflect upon music from the Jewish culture and religion.   Dvorak's Rondo was written before his departure for America when he had organised a lengthy concert tour by way of a farewell gesture. Rondo in G minor for Violoncello and Piano was written for this occasion for the composer's colleague from the Prague Conservatoire, professor Hanus Wihan and against his usual affable upbeat music there are hints of melancholy.
