The Cooperation band, who sit in the top ten rankings in the world, present a whirlwind of music and a fizzing conclusion to the 50th festival in their first visit to Orkney.  From traditional tunes to old masters with some brand new works thrown in, this ensemble is the finest interpreter of music for brass band in Scotland.  

The Cooperation Band is a community brass band currently based in North Lanarkshire. Founded in 1918 as the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society Band at the SCWS factories in Shieldhall, Glasgow, the band has a rich history and is a thriving nearly a hundred years on.
