Haydn String Quartet Op. 64 No. 5 'Lark'
Debussy String Quartet in G Minor
The Great American Songbook arr. Fibonacci Quartet
Haydn’s quartets are the epitome of style and elegance and masterful composition and the Lark (known for its high violin melody) is no exception. Though Haydn wrote 68 quartets, Debussy wrote only one but this has become a cornerstone of the repertoire and defines this composer’s style. The quartet shows another side to their personalities with arrangements from the American Songbook.
The Fibonacci Quartet, the only ensemble to win both the First and Audience Prize at the 2024 Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition, are one of Europe’s leading young quartets. Formed at London’s Guildhall School, they perform widely across Europe, including at Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, and Edinburgh International Festival.
