37 - Birl: Michels & Sutcliffe

This programme explores how dance-forms have influenced Scottish composers from the 19th-century right up to the present day. From traditional tunes to courtly dances, rhythm, movement and form flow throughout this concert. Featuring new arrangements for accordion and piano by the performers, as well as solo instrumental works, this will be a concert to get the toes tapping.

Anna and Neil are two thirds of the Bubblyjock Collective, an ensemble dedicated to performing Scottish music from the 19^th century up to living composers.  They have quickly gained an impressive reputation for their performances bringing the huge variety of music and compositional talent in Scotland to the stage.
