-  We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
-  The management reserves the right to cancel a performance without prior notice due to exceptional circumstances which may be out of our control.  In such an instance ticket holders will be offered an alternative performance or a refund.
-  Latecomers will only be admitted when there is an appropriate break in the performance.
-  Concessions are for schoolchildren, full-time students and registered unemployed.  Concession tickets may be subject of proof of status.
-  The use of photographic equipment and video cameras is prohibited during the performance.
-  Mobile phones must be switched off during the performance.

MAGFEST EXPLORER

Free tickets for young people aged 5–18 to selected events marked MAGFEST EXPLORER.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult with a valid ticket.

Young people aged 12 - 18 may attend without an accompanying adult, at the discretion of their parent or guardian.

When are ticket brochures available?

Brochures are usually available early April.

IS ACCOMMODATION HARD TO FIND during the Festival?

Many people travel to Orkney to visit the Festival, and accommodation is limited. It is advisable to book early.

A range of hotels, B&Bs, and self-catering accommodations are available and hiring a car can widen your options.

Can the Festival help with finding accommodation?

No. Please use Orkney.com for bookings

Does the Festival provide transport to performances?

Not usually. Most events take place in Kirkwall or Stromness, which are 15 miles (30 minutes) apart.

Public buses run regularly; details are available at VisitScotland centres.

Do you have a Box Office?

Yes, at 13 Albert Street, Kirkwall, KW15 1HP.

How CAN I book tickets?

Can I collect tickets from the Box Office?

Yes. Tickets can also be posted, printed at home, or used as e-tickets. 

What if I lose my tickets?

Duplicates can be issued from the Box Office.  

What are the pricing and seating choices?

Prices cary by band.  Some lower-cost tickets are unreserved or restricted view.

Who qualifies for concessions?

School children, full-time students, and registered unemployed.

Can I exchange or refund tickets?

No. All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged after purchase.

Can I join a waiting list for Festival tickets?

No official waiting list, but we can sometimes connect people who have spare tickets.

What is a rover ticket?

Access to all online Festival content, but not live events.

Do I NEED TO BOOK WHEELCHAIR SEATING in advance?

Yes.  Spaces are limited and fill quickly.

Does a wheelchair companion need to pay for a ticket?

No. Each wheelchair user can bring one companion free of charge.

What if I need ASSISTANCE OR HAVE special requirements?
