Percussionists of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire have made a name for themselves as performers of ambitious, cutting-edge works, often using multi-media to explode non-traditional works giving them new life and led by their professors Toby Kearney and Owen Gunnell.
For over ten years RBC Percussion have performed with percussionists from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra giving UK Premieres of pieces by unique emerging voices like Jessie Montgomery and Andy Akiho alongside music from the pioneers of percussion - Reich, Xenakis, Cage and Jolivet, Paolo Pandolfo and voice with Rosa Dominguez.
