In the final concert of their residency, the players of Musica Vitae bring together and English programme ranging across the centuries from the elusive consort music of Matthew Locke to Joe Cutler’s searching and elegiac work with cello solo dating from 2005.  The songs and theatre music of Henry Purcell bring the soprano Helena Dix to the fore with Elgar’s early masterpiece completing this brief survey of music from across the Border.
