What an incredible week we shared in June 2025, and none of it would have been possible without you! This year we enjoyed a theatre show with repurposed electric instruments, a moving tribute to Orkney poet Robert Rendall, and new commissions inspired by our land and landscape. Echo Choir gave a series of concerts (including one with our own Festival Chorus), alongside pianists Mihai Ritivoiu and Nikita Lukinov, and a host of writers, poets and novelists. New venues were added to our musical map – Swannay Brewery, Deerness Distillery and Kirkwall Masonic Lodge. We also were able to launch our MagFest Explorer Scheme, giving free tickets to young people.
Thank you to our wonderful audiences, the talented artists and performers, our funders and supporters, and the local venues and businesses who opened their doors to us. A special thank you to all our volunteers and Festival team who worked tirelessly to make it all happen.
