Rehearsals beginning for Carmina Burana

Monday 26th February 2024 will see the beginning of rehearsals for this year's Festival Chorus concert.  (The first rehearsal is at the slightly earlier time of 7.00pm)

For the 2024 Festival, the chorus will be performing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana singing alongside the world-renowned choir Sonoro and under the baton of Neil Ferris; Neil will be familiar from his past appearance at the Festival. He is not only the Artistic Director of Sonoro but also the Chorus Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus and a guru when it comes to choral singing.

The power of singing for good health has been proven medically and the chorus is looking for new members to join in all voices for its annual appearance at the Festival.

Paul Rendall will be leading rehearsals and they will continue at 7.15 in the King Street Halls on Mondays.
