19 - Sharing and Gathering : Grant McQuade Duo and Stevens & Pound

This concert brings together two duos whose instrumental combinations might be said to be ‘unusual’.  Here they present a wide and varied programme and collaborate for the first time.  

Eleanor Grant and Gus McQuade have quickly grown a reputation for work that stretches across genres and places Renaissance lute songs next to Joni Mitchell.  Eleanor’s soaring voice sheds new light on a host of familiar music and amidst these are some of her own songs.  Delia Stevens and Will Pound examine a host of well known music in their unique combination exploring new ways of looking at and hearing the very familiar.
