Visit the remarkably quirky interior of St Peter’s Kirk to hear a survey of music for solo cello including the première of a new work from young, Scottish composer Padruig Morrison. Bach’s music for solo cello forms the foundation of a rich repertoire to which Britten added another set of suites inspired by Rostrapovich. Rory Boyle’s work is a gentle lullaby mixing the idea of Scots folk music into the simple lines.
