PRICING AND SEATING
To give greater customer choice the Festival has three ticket prices for many events. Please note that the lowest price is for unreserved seats and/or seats that offer limited views of the performance area. In St Magnus Cathedral this includes some seats with no view.
2017 Supporters priority bookings received before the relevant opening date are pooled, with tickets for each performance being randomly distributed within each ticket price requested amongst the ‘early birds’. Once priority booking has opened, orders are dealt with in order of arrival.
Benefactors, Patrons and Friends will be able to book online during their priority booking period. To access online booking, please ensure you have paid your membership fee and registered an email address with the Festival.
The Festival’s online booking system allows customers to choose their seats and print tickets at home.
Concession prices are available to school pupils, full-time students and people who are registered unemployed. Concessions do not apply to senior citizens.
Please note wheelchair spaces are not available to book online. If you have special seating requirements, a query regarding access, or wish to make a booking for a wheelchair user, please contact the Festival office on 01856 871445. We will do our best to satisfy seating requests at Festival venues.
The Festival can claim Gift Aid on donations and Benefactor support. If you are a UK taxpayer, please sign the declaration on the booking form to enable us to do this.
Most Festival events take place in Kirkwall and Stromness, which are 15 miles apart. On weekdays and weekends there is a regular daytime bus service (details and timetables are available from the VisitScotland Information Centres in Kirkwall and Stromness).
The concerts in the Milestone Community Church and St Peter’s, Sandwick are Festival Excursions and transport is included in the ticket price.
