FESTIVAL CHORUS : BRAHMS REQUIEM

Brahms Requiem is often heard in its orchestral version but here the composer's own piano arrangement brings the opportunity for the joint choral forces to soar through the nave of St Magnus Cathedral.    A rich and powerful work, written in German rather than Latin, this was an intensely personal piece for the composer.    Lockdown stopped rehearsals for this work two years ago and We're delighted to bring the Festival Chorus back to the stage after Lockdown stopped rehearsals for this work two years ago.
